Review: Discrimination0

Remember Discrimination0? One of the most amazing projects of AEGEE-Dresden that ended last November?

The AEGEEan just released an article titled Discrimination0: a Successful Cooperation between AEGEE-Dresden, AEGEE-Lviv and AEGEE-Moskva about it. Find out some more interesting detail about our exchange in it!

Once again we want to thank foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future (EVZ), the Federal Foreign Office and the Robert Bosch Stiftung for making this project possible!

Do it again, again, again: Develop Yourself!

For the fourth time already AEGEE-Dresden has organized “Develop Yourself”, an international self-development training course for young Europeans. When all participants met for the first time, we were not sure what to expect from the following four days and how they are going to change or influence us.

European Voluntary Service: We got accredited by the European Commission

We are happy to announce that AEGEE-Dresden e.V. has been accredited as European Voluntary Service (EVS) host and EVS sending organization by the European Commission a few days ago. By this we successfully joined a group of only 5.000 other accredited organizations all over Europe.

EVS has had a major impact on the lives of many thousands of young people over the past 20 years. More than 100.000 young people between 17 and 30 took part in this EU programme, developing skills and competences by contributing to the work of an organisation. EVS is funded by the Erasmus+-Programme of the European Union.

Our accreditation lasts till the end of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action programme in 2020 and empowers us to e.g. host EVS volunteers. During their stay in Dresden of up to twelve months the volunteers can learn lots of skills and improve themselves while working on AEGEE.

The online magazine AEGEE Golden Times published an interview with Jan Philipp Rauprich, former president of AEGEE-Dresden, about the reasons for applying, the long application process to become EVS-accredited, and the plans and ideas we have for the first volunteer.

AEGEE-Warszawa just organized this initiative for the fifth time! It’s easy, you sign up and get the name and address of another person who signed up as well whom you will send a card, while another participant sends a card to you! mehr...

Golden Times: Hitchhiking to 8 cities in 9 days

The amazing online magazine with stories about AEGEE’s past and present featured one of AEGEE-Dresden’s members in a recent article. You can read a small passage of it here:

GT: From where to where do you go on your hitchhiking trip?
Daniel: I’m making a circle: Dresden-Krakow-Poprad-Budapest-Bratislava-Vienna-Brno-Katowice-Dresden.

GT: Why did you choose this destination?
Daniel: Checking out central Europe before leaving back to Portugal!

GT: When did you depart this month and when will you arrive?
Daniel: I left on the 22nd and will be back on the 31st – hopefully!

GT: With whom are you travelling?
Daniel: Jura! A Lithuanian girl I met three weeks ago during an Erasmus+ Project in Spain where AEGEE-Dresden participated. We had this crazy idea and just did it!
